Job description: Fit-Out Design Estimator

Job Summary

We are presently looking for an Estimator with a minimum of 3 years experience in the U.A.E market from Interior Design / Fit-out industry.The ideal candidate should be a hard working and ambitious person and should be able to drive the company to the next level.

Responsibilities and Duties
The main job responsibilities of the job position are as follows:

Manage and plan all costs associated with the projects, from outset until completion
‪Perform a quantity take off from the detailed design drawings.
Prepare budget cost estimate at the concept design stage of the project.
Assist the project manager with all matters relating to estimating and bid pricing
Prepare a detailed priced BOQ, at various design stages of the project including variation orders due to changes in the scope of works of the project.
Prepare Tender Analysis to compare the shortlisted Tenderers.
Perform value engineering by studying the design and conduct a unit rate and cost analysis for the various design options.
Prepare and issue addenda during the tendering stage.
Provide support to sites by addressing questions about BOQ.
Liaise with contractors and suppliers to acquire and update particular item rates
Maintain contract data base & material suppliers database
Maintain estimation records for future tender and cost evaluations
Complies comprehensive documentation to support tender estimates
Working as part of a team to deliver required results
Qualifications and Skills

Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Interior Design/Fit-Out industry
Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement.
Ability to deliver on time and commitment to delivery
Accurate, ‪Awareness of Requirements, ‪Database Maintenance, Expertise, ‪Achievement Drive, ‪Flexibility , Adaptability.
Ability to estimate product breakdown and pricing.
Prior experience in using estimation software tools.
Effective communication, fluent English is required (written and spoken).
Previous experience in negotiation in terms or pricing strategies.
Inter-personal and team working skillsm to deliver required results.

Organize, implement, conduct and manage the QA/QC Programs as per the Company\'s Quality Policy. 2. Liaise with the Client\'s representatives for the conduct of day-to-day quality related project activities. 5. Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding work performance and hold authority to stop work in any area where discrepancies remain uncorrected and/or cancel the stop work order upon satisfactory correction of noted deficiencies. 6. Provide technical support to the Project Manager and guidance to site staff in submission of materials for approval, request for inspection, shop drawings, As-built drawings 7. Assist QA/QC Manager in conducting internal quality audits. 8. Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) are raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices
