This is an opportunity to work for a well-established UAE contractor. They focus all their attention on the Abu Dhabi market and have become experts in this area and have strong relationships that have been built up over the years with all the main clients. The majority of their work is infrastructure works such as roads, highways, utilities and airport infrastructure.

Although, like most contractors in the UAE the last few years have been tough but new contracts are starting to be awarded again which has created a need for an Estimator. I am not looking for candidates who are already working in the Middle East so this is a chance for someone who wants to relocate here.

You should have 10 years plus experience in Estimation and tendering for a contracting company with projects in the infrastructure sector. Roads, bridges, Tunnels, Airports, Rail projects are all valid areas where experience is looked at.

Job description: requires the services of Civil Engineer, must have 15 to 25 years of working experience on power plant projects, who will be responsible for structural analysis and site execution in accordance with engineering principles. 

Planning and management of Construction activities related to structural works.
Quantity Surveying and Bar Bending Schedule.
Preparation of Bills, Progress reports, coordination with client and sub-contractors.
Planning for the execution of structural works.
Inspection/ Supervision of construction activities at site as specified in Project Specification, and Infrastructure works.
Performs quality activities on an assigned project to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with the quality requirements.
Monitoring of construction procedure with the help of construction plan and quality records.
Ensure that the works executed on site are in accordance with the approved drawings & Specifications.
Ensuring that labour and/or material as per BOQ is delivered at site on time by contractor as per his scope of work.
Regularly interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups,
including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and other personnel.
Maintain accurate daily records of inspection and tests.

Job description: Civil - Structural Engineer:
Seeking a highly credentialed civil engineer; with at least 7-years experience as a structural design engineer. Candidate is expected to study/prepare for and pass a qualifying examination administered by Dubai Municipal Authority to design buildings up to G+12.
The applicant should have substantial drafting experience and be competent using the following design software:
(i) ETABS
(ii) SAFE
(iii) PROKEN
(iv) REVIT
