Preparing complete cost of estimation for MEP elements (HVAC, electrical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety) which includes: material, labor, erection equipments, testing/ commissioning man hours, direct & indirect resources in line with BOQ scope of work, project specifications & standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Study tender documents including drawings, project specification, BOQ, scope of work, contract details and conditions

• Preparing tender study report by analyzing the scope of work

• Liaise with Operations team to establish execution / method statements and reflect the same in estimation.

• Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activies

• Preparing technical clarifications to client for discrepancies in tender documents after reviewing. Incorporating the changes after response.

• Participate in site visits and preparing site visit report to analyze the project scope of work.

• Analyze vendor technical offers and commercial as well in view of project specifications and standards.

• Prepare vendors cost comparative study report to get financial selection of vendors/ subcontractor & price.

• Preparing required bid documents includes commercial and technical submittals.

• Collect all vendors technical data sheets, vendor's specification, drawings and compile in line with tender documents to prepare technical bid submission.

• Preparing coordinating post tender technical clarifications and commercial as well.

• Coordinating with vendor post tender clarification to technical qualification.

• Assist the management for post tender commercial negotiations wih vendors as well to reach competitive pricing.

4. Ability to independently lead and work alongside team of 3-4 technicians - this is a hand-on job!
5. Some knowledge of suppliers for consumables and spares and ability to negotiate for best pricing.
6. Language Skills - Basic English Required for customer interactions

Join our Engineering team at ANZCO Foods Canterbury as our Site Services Manager overseeing the Engineering Services Department. The Canterbury Plant is ANZCO Foods' largest asset where you will be responsible for significant capital expenditure.

The purpose of this position is to ensure that Plant capabilities are continually maintained and enhanced to meet the production and operational objectives. Our goal is to keep developing a culture of preventative maintenance and a service focused team. Your previous engineering experience combined with your proven leadership skills will allow you to drive the improvements by effectively leading a team of up to 40 onsite maintenance staff plus contractors.

Reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for preparing the annual maintenance budget and subsequent reporting and for developing and managing large capital projects You will be a critical member of the senior management team where the role will have an integral part in supporting decisions across the Site’s entire business. We are looking for a motivated person who wants to be part of the vision to move things forward and help us achieve our short term and long term strategic direction.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• responsibility for providing timely and accurate information on the performance of the department
• maintaining engineering costs within the approved budgets including R&M, Capital and Utilities
• ensuring the engineering activities are conducted in a planned and controlled manner and engineering activities are controlled within agreed limits
• developing and maintaining appropriate engineering systems and procedures that support the operational goals
• responsibility for installing and operating a process of continuous improvement which delivers credible and sustainable solutions to problems
• development and coaching of engineering staff to ensure they are working to the best of their capabilities
• providing and maintaining an acceptable level of technical and professional competence in the Engineering function

Skills and experience:
