To be knowledgeable about:

· Hair Stylists (Prepares hair for styling by analyzing hair condition; shampooing and treating hair. Conditions hair and scalp by applying treatments. … Produces desired effect by arranging, shaping, curling, cutting, trimming, setting, bleaching, dyeing, and tinting hair.)

· Make-up technician

· Cuticle and rough skin removal

· Manicure and pedicure theory and treatments to provide high-quality manicures, pedicures and treatments for natural nails, gel and acrylic extensions, based on clients' preferences

· Massage techniques for the hands, feet, arms, and legs (reflexology)

· Nail filing, shaping, and polishing

· Gel and acrylic extensions or overlay

· Fake nail extensions

· Nail art design

· Nail irregularities and diseases prevention (disorders of the nails)

· Product storage and use (safety, nail care chemicals, and their uses and technical applications)

· To adhere to the highest standards of sanitation, which includes cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment

· Customer service

· Laws and regulations related to the practice of manicuring (personal hygiene, public health)

· Knowledge of other beauty services is welcome

· Manicure/pedicure specialists with other skill like waxing or lashing
