RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide superior design management to achieve world class resorts and hotels • Develop and maintain strong relationships, using proactive communication with Project Consultants and Aman Corporate teams in a collaborative, team-focused manner that adds value to projects • Assist in the early formulation and feasibility stages of a project, build Area Programs with internal inputs from operational departments. • Design manage all stages of design, from the lens of hotel operations and design expertise, to provide Technical Services guidance to key stakeholders, such as Owner/Developers and Consultants. • Attend design and project status, co-ordination meetings and workshops, record minutes, ensure adherence to brand standards via written and spoken comments, and assist design, engineering and specialist consultant teams to develop the approved project design from earliest inception through to the working drawings. • Assist in reviewing all types of Design Consultant packages of drawings and specifications, from architecture to engineering and ID, additionally reviewing adherence with all of the hallmarks of luxury hotel specialisms in FoH amenity areas and room layouts, lighting, signage, BoH operational flow, Spa, F&B & BoH -Kitchens , ie, with expert knowledge over multiple disciplines • Develop, update and maintain project schedules and internal reporting dashboards • Provide administrative support to the Director of TS • Provide weekly updates to the MEA/ TS teams’ project reporting intranet system • Proactively identify, work to resolve and communicate project-related issues and resolutions, at the earliest, using the internal network and external consultants’ network • Travel to meetings, or attend online, conduct site visits and prepare reports • Attend in person workshops, provide input and record minutes • Assist with organization and management of meetings and the co-ordination of multiple stakeholders’ diaries – internal and external • Proactively and autonomously manage a task to completion • Proactively update projects status reports on a weekly/monthly basis, and update the Director of Design & Technical Services on a regular basis, to provide projections for all design aspects and program delivery • Assist with ongoing development and collection of evolving corporate brand standards and performance process frameworks • Conduct themselves as a Brand Ambassador who can represent the companies’ values during the working day and with each communication and interaction with external and internal stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS • University degree in Architecture (minimum with honors) • 10+ years professional experience – majority in luxury hospitality • Experience with reviewing and collaborating with all types of Design consultants, PMC’s, Architecture, Structure, MEP, FLS, Traffic, Landscape, ID, + specialists in lighting, BoH, F&B, Spa, Kitchens, wayfinding etc.) on small to large-scale developments – resorts and urban towers • Experience in working with and managing world’s best designers • Experience in reviewing and providing direction on all aspects of ultra luxury hotels and resorts – from Project inception to Masterplan to project delivery to Pre-Opening reviews and Handover. • Experience in both low-rise resorts and high-rise urban hotel sites. • Prior Technical Services background with luxury hotel operator preferred • Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages desirable) • Proficiency in AutoCad or Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, MS Office, Adobe Suite, knowledge of ReVu or Folio trace desirable • Familiarity and interest in office management systems, folder filing and procedures • Discipline in daily organization of incoming documents within the TS folder system • Timeliness and passion to continually contribute to the working and day to day task list • Proactive and responsive communication with all parties, on email, whatsapp, call or Teams • Proactive communication with the TS Director on a daily basis
