Position Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to be based in AAMT Ras Al Khor branch.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for both branch’s financial accounting and will report directly to the General Manager (GM). 
Ideal candidates for the Accounting Manager role at AAMT have at least 5 years relevant work experience. 
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for: 
• Monitor, track, and manage company’s day-to-day accounting activities including payments, receivables, payables, etc.
• Develop standard financial statements including: Income statement, balance sheet, cash-flow, and P & L
• Daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports showing sales (revenue), cost of goods sold, gross margins, profit, gross profit, expenses, other financial ratios and key performance indicators (KPIs) for review with General Manager (GM)

  • Monitor the open invoices for payment (by payment due date) 
 
  • Resolve open issues such as missing approvals, POs not matching or not existing, inconsistencies between invoices and receipt documents, vendor questions, including review of vendor statements 
 
  • Maintain schedules for recurring monthly payments and process accordingly. 
 
  • Process Accruals and provisions as per the agreed policies and timelines 
 
  • Adhere to SLAs and productivity targets

Manage all day today accounting work including data entry and keep all relevant records for audit.
Prepare trial balance, profit and loss account and balance sheet  
Prepare and maintain all receipts, payments and bank reconciliation
Prepare and maintain all supplier and customer reconciliation

Job purpose
To be responsible for weekly reconciliation of employee 403B contributions to various benefit carriers and voluntary payroll deductions such as charity and US savings bonds.
Key duties/responsibilities of Payroll accountant:
1. Payroll processing, generating weekly and semi-monthly check runs.
2. Certified Payroll and payroll for OCIP-type jobs.
3. Prepare and enter journal entries.
4. Analyze and reconcile select balance sheet and income statement accounts.
5. Process job cost payroll journals and general ledger entries.
6. Upload bi-weekly payroll entries to the general ledger.
7. Assist with the month-end close process.
8. Ability to research and understand the Prevailing Wage rules in the various states.
9. Create and transmit files to 401(k) trustee.
10. Develop and document payroll reporting tools, best practices and processes
11. Maintain appropriate records on employee receivable balances and ensure appropriate payroll deductions are being taken for employee benefits, taxes, etc.
